Reno Christian Academy

Reno Christian Academy is operated as an Exempt School under the provision of The Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS 394.211) and as such is exempt from the provisions of the Private Elementary and Secondary Education Authorization Act.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Reno Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, athletic or other school administered programs.

Reno Christian Academy uses the Abeka Curriculum.

Legal Requirements

Age:  A child must be at least 5 years old by September 30 to enter kindergarten.  A child must be at least 6 years old by September 30 to enter first grade.

All new Kindergarten students will be administered a Kindergarten Readiness Skills test prior to fnal acceptance.

Records for First Time Enrollment

Birth Certificate: Parents will be required to show the school a birth certificate, Baptismal certificate, or passport as proof of the student’s age.  The student must be enrolled under the name that appears on this document. 

Student Records:  

Reno Christian Academy will request a copy of the student’s records from the school he/she most recently attended. These records must be sent through the mail and not hand-carried to the school.

Health Record:  A current immunization record must be obtained from the Washoe County Health Department or your child's doctor if it is not already a part of the student’s records.  Students will not be allowed to begin school without a current immunization record on file.
